The first day of the rest of my lifeless life

In the immortal words of Nina Simone, that Nubian queen of Soul & Blues(r.i.p) "It,s a new dawn, it,s a new day, it,s a new life for me...and I'm feeling good".  The body aches after over-enthusiasm in the gym, and as the sleep deprivation approaches it's zenith, the skies are turning noticeable into a grey and unforgiving mode; inclement enough to forgo the Bermuda shorts and the Raybans.  This dank February day is typical British, far removed from breezy sunny day in Demerara but I see the light burning bright and I feel the fire raging in my stomach Inshalla (god willing) today will be a good day, a new day, the commencement of a new life for me, and when the physical fatigue subsides, i will be feeling good...praise be to Allah
